NASA makes history once again: the last shuttle launch

Roaming around the offices at NASA Langley Research Center, televisions and conference rooms are all projecting the same tune. Coverage of NASA's last ever shuttle launch. Atlantis.

A sad day indeed, but also an overwhelming sense of accomplishment of how far NASA has come. Though NASA's budget has waivered tremedously, its name will always hold a place in this Universe and is still inspiring millions around the world, whether to create NASA's next mission or make a movie.

Lets take Transformers 3 for example. NASA was the plot of the whole movie.
And it was a great movie if I do say so.

Whether a movie or a mission to MARS, NASA will continue to greatly impact the world with its current and future missions.

So as the last shuttle launch now has made its mark in history, remember, its not the end of NASA, but only the beginning of a new and ongoing journey.

Find your summer hobby

Do something for you. Something that makes you happy.

Finding a balance in our lives can be rather difficult at times. We all get caught up in stress, our future, work and anything else that can drain the life from our lives. Finding hobbies that provide an outlet and bring relaxation into your life is essential to being happy and staying sane.

So that's just what I'm doing.

June is almost over and I've realized that I've mainly been working, applying to grad schools and studying for the GRE's. And well, it's time to find a hobby!

This past year, I've really gotten into cooking. Especially during the summer because food is so fresh and my mom's garden is abundantly overflowing with delicious vegetables.

Squash, cucumbers, zucchini and tomatoes from my mom's garden.

So far this summer I've made spinach and ricotta manicotti, various types of risotto (Italian rice), baked goods and yesterday, with the help of my 9 yr. old sister, Hannah, I made fresh zucchini bread.
Hannah stirring the ingredients.

My family is really big into weight watchers recipes so I looked up some online and found a perfect one!  And here's how our zucchini bread turned out!

Ready to eat!

There's not much to it. It's delicious, healthy and easy.
Even a nine year old can make it :)

So I've found hobby number 1: Cooking.

What's your hobby?!
